The Woods progressed to the next round of the FA Vase with an emphatic display against Haverhill Borough.
272 fans packed The Ashtons Arena for the first home game of the season and were served up a mouthwatering display by Shane Baptiste’s men.
Some irresistible one and two touch play saw Woodford open up a four goal lead before the interval, a brace from Montel McKenzie and efforts from Wale Adedoyin and Guy Kiagengi putting The Woods virtually out of site by the break.
To their credit Haverhill showed more resilience second half as Woodford were reduced to Ten many through injury.
Neverless there was still time for Samir Ali to put the cherry on the cake rifling home from 20 yards with time running out.
The Woods will be pleased with a very encouraging performance in front of an extremely noisy home crowd who played their own part in what was a fantastic Friday Night down by the River Roding.
