6 in a 6 row

Julian Charles’s first game in joint Management with Dee Safer ended in disappointment as Woodford Town were beaten 3-1 at title chasing Walthamstow last Tuesday.

The Woods were slow out of the blocks in a one sided first half, goals from Jon Clements, Michael Toner and Callum Ibe given Walthamstow a comfortable half time lead.

As per the recent pattern Woodford produced a much improved 2nd half performance, defending resolutely and pulling a goal back on 77 minutes from Exequiel Franchi to at least give their fabulously vocal following a moment to remember.

Safer and Charles’s outfit stay marooned at the bottom of the Essex Senior table and will have their work cut out to climb the table ahead of their move back to Ashton’s on this showing despite the attractive football their young charges have produced so far this season .
