Woodford Town progressed to the last four of the Peter Butcher Memorial Trophy, with a 5-1 win away at Hullbridge Sports last night!

Shane Baptiste's side finally got 2025 underway, and they did so in style as they blitzed Hullbridge Sports at the T.J. Cottis Stadium, thanks to goals from Ernest Okoh, Luke Steele, David Gokou and a brace from Micah Jackson.

Okoh got proceedings underway with a 5th-minute strike and The Woods found themselves five goals to the good at the half-time break. One goal from the hosts after the interval saw the final score end 5-1 to Woodford.

The night also saw a special occasion for goalkeeper Manny Agboola, who captained the side for the first time having joined in the summer, with Club Captain Sam Owusu named amongst the substitutes.

Starting XI: E. Agboola (C); Kirwan-Meade, Steele, Mitchell-Nelson, Harbrow; Banfield, Carvell, Kebi; Okoh, Jackson, Gokou.

Substitutes: Owusu, Sollosi, Shilling, M. Agboola, Martins.
