Last season, when we faced Wakering, we boasted a near-perfect record. In the league, we drew away and won at home, whilst we also picked up a 3-2 victory in the Errington Challenge Cup.

In the home league game, we went down to ten man shortly after going a goal behind, but goals from Kahlil Kirwan-Meade, Nathan Sollosi and Alex Bolovan turned things around.

The Woods

Last weekend, we lost our first Essex Senior League game of the 2024/25 campaign, whilst we also tasted defeat in the First Round of the BBC Essex Senior Cup at Coggeshall Town on Wednesday night.

This was the first time Woodford have lost two games in a row since the end of last season, where we lost the ESL Play-off Semi Final and the Errington Challenge Cup Semi Final.

Our opposition

2024 FA Vase finalists Great Wakering Rovers, led by Marcus Bowers, come into this matchup sitting top of the league, having overtaken us last weekend.

So far this season, the visitors have lost just one of their nine league games, and also boast the best goal difference in the division, having scored 21 and conceded fourteen.
