There has been over a week of rest for the hosts since they last kicked a football, with their match at Little Oakley being postponed last weekend due to a waterlogged pitch.

The last competitive matchup came nine days ago, with a 2-0 win over Takeley in the Peter Butcher Memorial Trophy, with goals from David Gokou and Ernest Okoh ensuring the hosts, who have still lost just once on home soil all season, safely made it into the last eight of the competition.

West Essex are looming in the bottom half of the Essex Senior League ahead of their trip across the A406 on Friday night. They are winless in two, with their last victory coming on 16th November, as they dispatched of Sawbridgeworth Town 3-0 at Wadham Lodge.

Managed by George Karsa, they have three ex-Woodford Town players in their squad, and all three could be in with a chance of featuring this evening. Palvy Manduakila, Jaedon Phillips and Yemi Adelani now all don the colours of the ‘West.’
